Where y'all from?

I'm from Edmonton. Free beer (Molson of course) to any American who knows where that is without me having to say "It's in Canada."

Bonus beer: which city has the largest indoor mall in the world, and what is it called? Hint: it's not the Mall of America in Minnie.

Now I'm living in Richmond, Virginia, in the US, eh?

How about y'all?

(Edit: given recent events I need to make the disclaimer that NO OFFENSE is meant to any Americans in this post. Just having a little good-natured cross-border fun. Feel free to make fun of Canadians in the same manner. As the only Canuck in a building full of Americans I get it all the time.)

From where or where am I from

No reason to be stingy. I spend part of the year (summer) working for the National Park Service at Wind Cave in South Dakota. I give cave tours and campfire programs and make a really small amount of money. Anyone like caves? I'm certified to explore them...

Then, during the winter, I reside in Sterling, Colorado (the CO cowtown) and write, write, write, spending the meager amount of money I made during the summer supporting my writing habit.

I don't know how much longer I can do this, but we'll see...

Re:Where y'all from?

I'm currently in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Used to live in Northern California, love it, but can't afford to go back any time soon.

Eddy--it could be worse, you could be the lone Canadian in an office full of native Texans. Happened to a friend of mine. Eye-wink

Re:Where y'all from?

I am firmly planted in Connecticut, just north-east of Hartford.

CM, when can we take you up on one of those cave tours?

Cave tours

I start May 9th, (this summer) and work until late september, sometimes into October. If you're ever in the area, drop me an email and I'll see what I can do. I do all level of tours, from the one hour, lazy concrete walking tour, to the four hour, crawling, bending, squirming, climbing, get real dirty, better be in decent shape and trust me tour. Plus a bunch in between.

Here's the cave park's website: http://www.nps.gov/wica/

Re:Where y'all from?

I'm in Fort Collins Colorado. I've been here 25 years. I came from Old Forge Pennsylvania with a few years in State College (Penn State) Pa. and Ithaca (Cornell) NY.

I have been in the West Edmonton mall. My wife, stepson and I went there when he was about ten. My wife says, "Let's go to the mountains, I'm tired of being in a mall." To which my stepson replies,"Mom, we've got mountains in Colorado. When we get home I'll take you there."
